Tried to get up Shuksan today, turned around at about 6000ft due to poor avalanche conditions. Pretty great ski conditions.

The NWAC forecast was moderate (2/5 on the scale, pretty typical relatively safe forecast but reserves the possibility for isolated areas of dangerous terrain, low is very rare in winter). There was a slope that failed column tests with a clean shear layer below a roughly 4" thick wind slab and propagated cracks.
