A sad sob story.
Anyone who had kept up with my ever continuing build of my runner knew what a special rig it was to me and unfortunately that all came to a screeching halt on my way to work one morning in late July when believe it or not, trying to rid my runner of a spider I lost the road and went off an ...

Re: More traction, Opinions please...!
Well I think I'll give the limited slip a shot because the arb's are great and all but I don't really have the necessity to go all in to that point. But if I drive into a ditch snow wheeling of like to see if it can pull itself out a little better. I know about the brake biasing to try and get the ...

More traction, Opinions please...!
So as you guys know I've got a Detroit locker in the rear and open front as of right now. I'm perfectly happy with my stock T case, have no desire to ever do duals. Seems kind of unnecessary for snow wheeling in my opinion, but I am considering a front end traction device. Give your opinion please I ...

Long time no post !!
Geez guys the snow goes away and so does all the static on snow trek too huh...? Well here's a quick report from me as of late. TSL's are contuining to impress me after almost 6,000 miles. I can't Hardly tell any wear on them, the siping is just doing them wonders. I think I have to accredit alot of ...

Denny Creek Run, 2-23-14
Here's a few shots from sunday, it was great snow, got stuck for an hour and 15 minutes on I-90 though when they were shooting slides down but other than that it was a great trip. Some snowshoers were real ass's though and didn't like to see us romping through the snow but alot of them couldn't ...

Okay well i will list out the onky steering parts i have and give you a run down on it all!l I know for a fact that my steering box is perfectly fine, besides the 1/16th inch I play it is supposed to have there's nothing there, and ALL my suspension and steering parts are brand new from when I ...

Re: 2-16-2014, Tonga Ridge
Ohhh okay that makes more sense haha. Well I used to have it moderately with my MT/r's and then it practically went away once I got my TSL's while they were on the 8" wheels, and really it would only happen when I was crossing train tracks for example, or hitting really rough moguls and similar ...

Re: 2-16-2014, Tonga Ridge
Hahaha one of my friends said starting fluid too, I wish I could double my AC compressor as on board air and air conditioning, but oh well I'll get it figured out.. I can't believe you lost a bead there that's crazy?! How low was your air pressure?? Oh yeah good thing it was a ford huh;) hahaha good ...

Re: 2-16-2014, Tonga Ridge
Yes the iroks probably are a better offroad tire but they're not on the road ! ;) and I had to have a tire to do both, and I am really happy with my TSL's honestly, especially surpised that they ride sooooo smooth and quiet, and they have ZERO balancing weights. The tire Machine said one wheel/tire ...

Re: 2-16-2014, Tonga Ridge
They are just a standard type of steel wheel, nothing fancy, nothing crappy, just anything you'd expect to go buy. Whatever brand les schwab has cause thats where I believe they came from. I know that 8's can hold beads better than 10's on the right situation, but without OBA I'm a little gun shy to ...

Awesome run today, I really wish we had been able to go farther but we were on a solo run and its just habit that i dont go too far up without another buddy rig, even though I can get myself out of just about any situation between my winch and one of my saws, still just nice to have someone else ...

Re: LONG day..
Okay okay I'll drop them to see what gets me a flatter contact area, and yes I'd much rather save my tires than ruin them over fuel mileage haha.

Re: LONG day..
Ahhhh, okay good to know. Well I've got a buddy that will trade straight across his 10's for my 8's, so I still dont know whether I want to do it or not, i really like my 8's, i just really have been wanting to flatten out the contact patch without losing mileage from running lower psi is all. And ...

Re: LONG day..
Well I'm hoping to just get 10" wide wheels to stop that from happening even though I know my 8" wide wheels are most effective for airing down.. But with the amount of road driving I do it's worth my while, but hey if I don't absolutely HAVE to air down to make it through the snow, I don't worry ...
