Trip Report: Snow Wheeling 2023 Season

Finally got out on New Years Day for my first trip this winter. Couldn't have asked for better conditions. Snow was great, but not as deep as expected. A lot melted off. 5A2E151D-DC59-42A1-AA1C-737C37CB38A7.jpeg 452147D9-6D27-4B09-BA20-38B06D69953A.jpeg E1419EBA-2EF8-480C-8AA6-95B4B1C4B323.jpeg ...

Re: Hey everyone, I’m not new but back

Not sure if you will get this. But I'm headed out tomorrow. Will be up in Skagit County though. If you want to drive that far, you are welcome to join.

Re: 37’s on a Dana 30?

Yeah, you typically would cut down just the long side. It's not too difficult. Grind the weld on the inner C, pop it off, cut the tube, weld the C back on. If it's not in your wheelhouse, see if there is anyone in your area that does it. The OEM Dana 44 stuff should be better than aftermarket Dana ...

Re: 37’s on a Dana 30?

A dana 30 isn't ideal, but with some common sense you can get away with it. If you are familiar with SnowBatman99 on youtube, I believe he's running the Cherokee dana 30's front and rear (rear steer) with 38's. I think those Dana 30's have bigger axle shafts and the larger 5-760x u-joints found in ...

Re: Trip Report: Snow Wheeling 2020/2021 season

Nobody, how do you like the soft top for winter wheeling? Plenty warm enough? I've never had a problem with being cold, the only time I really turn the heater on high is when I need extra defrost help. Then again I'm always bundled up. Usually if temps are below 20F, the snow isn't great anyway. I ...

They are the stock 35 inch Goodyear Territory MT. I'm really liking them so far. I wish they would make them in a larger size.

Re: Trip Report: Snow Wheeling 2021/2022 Season

That's a sweet night photo. Plenty of snow to be found in the Olympics. We've been getting a lot more snow this year compared to the last 20 years.

I took the 2021 Bronco out yesterday. Beautiful day, great snow. Surprisingly, had the mountain to myself.

Lovin' it! Looks like there is plenty of snow up there. I haven't had a chance to get out again due to life getting in the way. Hopefully soon.

Re: Trip Report: Snow Wheeling 2021/2022 Season

Do you mean a fullsize or a Sport? Have not driven a fullsize yet, but have looked/sat in them. We really want an Eruption Green two-door, preferably with a white top and some sort of sport stripes. We test drove an Outer Banks Sport w/1.5L. Really liked it a lot, but ended up ordered a Badlands w ...

That's something you don't see every day. Should be pretty decent in the snow.

Re: Trip Report: Snow Wheeling 2021/2022 Season

I'm a little NW of you and would like to try to get out for a snow run. I'm picking up an 85 Toyota tonight and after I get the windshield fixed/sealed, I'll be up for a run. Maybe get somewhere and snowshoe for a bit. Should be able to make it happen. Those Toyotas are pretty unstoppable when ...

Yep, still have the EB. It's still the primary four wheeler, but man is it nice taking the 2021 Bronco on long hauls. It's a joy to drive.
