Re: Trip Report: Snow Wheeling 2023 Season

Got the old timer out! How's the new one working for you? The last video I watched you were having fun with it. I have only been out once, on Veteran's day. We had decent snow and was heavier up higher than where this picture was taken (I don't take enough pics :rolleyes2: ). We've got quite a bit m...

Re: 37’s on a Dana 30?

The problem with the Bronco Dana 30 was the weak ring and pinion, and there's no upgrade to fix that. If that's also true for the Jeep version I wouldn't bother upgrading the rest of the axle with RCVs etc. It will be money wasted.

Re: Trip Report: Snow Wheeling 2021/2022 Season

Have you driven one yet? Do you mean a fullsize or a Sport? Have not driven a fullsize yet, but have looked/sat in them. We really want an Eruption Green two-door, preferably with a white top and some sort of sport stripes. We test drove an Outer Banks Sport w/1.5L. Really liked it a lot, but ended...

Re: Trip Report: Snow Wheeling 2021/2022 Season

I didn't get out at all last year and only had my Bronco out a couple times over the summer. Hoping to make it more of a priority this snow season.

Re: Trip Report: Snow Wheeling 2021/2022 Season

Nice, you've been quiet on the other forum in the 2021 section. This is a surprise! You still have your EB? Yep, still have the EB. It's still the primary four wheeler, but man is it nice taking the 2021 Bronco on long hauls. It's a joy to drive. I think there's a new Bronco in our future, but due ...

Re: New Years 2021

We have some drifts ~7000' but not a whole lot to speak of otherwise. Normally this time of year we'd be snowed out of our wheeling areas.

Re: Mattracks vs Tires

My neighbor has a set he puts on his side by side in the winter. No doubt they can go like crazy. But it can be a real pain if he gets stuck and spits a track off...

Re: Trip Report: Snow Wheeling 2017/2018

Finally! Spring is here so we managed to get out for our first ride. Temps were in the 60s today. Pics were taken a couple miles from my house. Still have some decent drifts to navigate. 20180428_151412copy.jpg This road continues a couple miles to the top of the pass at 7000', but it was slow going...

Re: Trip Report: Snow Wheeling 2017/2018

Finally managed to get out yesterday. Didn't find as much snow as we expected but it was still a good day. A couple spots approached 18". We actually had our first snow the weekend of September 16! It was a whopping 18" dump but couldn't get out wheeling that weekend. 20171105_124737.jpg

I went out and looked and didn't see anything on it. The guys at Wildhorses are helpful and could probably tell you.

Try this:

I''ve been running one for several years and rarely change batteries. It works well!

Re: Fubars snow jeep build

20161217_102638.jpg This was last weekend in my back yard. It's snowing hard today but unfortunately we got a bunch of wind this week so it's doubtful if we can get out wheeling. Between the snowmobiles and the drifts I think we're already done for the season until spring. We went from nothing to a...

Re: Trip Report: Snow Wheeling 2016/2017

I managed to get out also. First snow of the season for us, it's been pretty dry so far. I switched from 33" TSLs to 35" KM2s this year and so far I really like them. It was a good day until my buddy broke the double cardan joint on his front drive shaft. :frown: Looking great! I see in y...
