Re: Trip Report: Snow Wheeling 2020/2021 season

We did a quick run up to the top of the 4020 Rd off of Mt Loop Sunday evening. There was about a foot of snow at 2800' up by the Boardman Lake Trailhead. Pretty icey underneath in the tracks. Not much snow below 2500 ft. We hit the 4021 on the way down and went over to the Ashland Lakes trailhead. T...

Re: Anyone Part of WORN?

I don't think it is a membership thing. I am not on fakebook. I came across them after trying to search out if we had anything like Colorado 4x4 Rescue and Recovery. Justin King has a YouTube channel that shows some of their recoveries. Matt's Offroad Recovery and Casey's Offroad Recovery are good o...

Anyone Part of WORN?

Wondering if anyone on here is part of WORN (Washington Offroad Recovery Network)?

Just curious. At minimum, everyone should have their contact info for a just-incase situation. They are on Fakebook.

Re: Trip Report: Snow Wheeling 2020/2021 season

That 17mm socket fixe helps reaffirm all the tools I carry. Thank you. They are dead weight 99++++% of the time, but then something grenades and they are worth their weight in gold. That's a great trail fix. Glad you got out fine and that you found the other items before it turned into a bad situati...

Re: Trip Report - Mountain Loop

Hit the 4020 Rd to Boardman Lake again yesterday along with the 4056 at Deer Creek. 12-24" of snow on the road at 2500' on the 4020. Made it to within a 1/3rd of a mile of the big gravel pit up top, or 8/10ths of a mile from the Boardman lake trail head. Hit a puddle in a low spot and buried it...

Re: Trip Report - Mountain Loop

Did a quick check of the 41 Rd last night. Still a good 12-18 inches of snow at 2000'. Lots of folks were up on the switch backs last night enjoying the sunset and some outdoor time.

Trip Report - Mountain Loop

Have been up on the 4020 Rd (Boardman Lake Rd) and 41 Rd (Green Mt Rd) a few times over the last several weeks. Snow is degrading and getting pretty snotty as the temps warm. Only made it about halfway to Boardman Lake this afternoon. Turned around just prior to making the split to Bear and Heather ...

Mt Loop 2/12/19

Went and checked the snow up the loop on Tuesday the 12th. There was about 30 inches of snow at the Lake 22 trailhead. Ended up pulling a stock Jeep out at the 4020 Rd. Thankfully they they barely made it off pavement. They were totally unprepared to deal with any type of being stuck. If they had so...

Mt Loop Run 1/7?

Anyone have info on the night run from last Monday? Big group of rigs was getting ready to leave the Shell in Granite Falls when I came through at 5:30. I would have loved to go but had other commitments.

Checked the snow level on the 41 RD last night. Snow line was right a the start of the National Forest (timber) @1900'. This is the road that heads north east to the closed Canyon Creek Bridge.

Re: Trip Report: Snow Wheeling 2017/2018

Headed up Mt Loop again last Saturday. We had 5" snow in Granite Saturday morning and I decided I should go play vs work on projects. First stop was the 4020 Rd (Boardman Lake Rd) We made it up to the last corner on the switch backs, but that was it. We may have been able to push it and keep go...

Re: Trip Report: Snow Wheeling 2017/2018

Long time lurker, first time poster. Howdy everyone. I live in Granite Falls with my family and am a huge outdoor activities nut - Fishing, hunting, trapping, and basic adventure. I have a modestly modified 2015 Crew Cab Frontier with 2 1/2" lift, 255/85' BFG KM 2'S, Schrock Works armor, and a ...
