Re: Going Deeper Going Further

That's a good recommendation, thank you. At this time I'm looking for a more streetable, longer-lasting tire. I'm not getting the impression those are the type of tire you want to go on a road trip with. If I had an extra set of snow wheels/tires I'd definitely try to run those.

Re: Going Deeper Going Further

I'm glad you responded, you seem very active in the snow community. I will never be satisfied in a Jeep in terms of snow; always want to go further. If $ were no object I'd be buying a snowcat. Possibly looking into a sled or snowbike but then unable to go out with Jeeps any longer and also can't sn...

Going Deeper Going Further

It's summer, I didn't snow wheel as much as I wanted this past winter however the winter before was epic. I had mentally planned to go to 37s/beadlocks this fall in preparation for 2019/2020 winter but wanted some input. Current specs: 2016 Jeep JKU fairly light, under 4,500lbs 35x12.5x15 General Gr...

Trip Report: WABDR 3

Saturday 4/27/19 Three JKU's. Two on 35s and one on 37s. All three 5-7psi. Goal was to scope out before a May camping trip. Started in Ellensburg and made it to maybe-roughly-I have no idea half the way to Cashmere because of a stubborn down tree that we didn't have a chainsaw for. Spent way too muc...

Re: Trip Report: West of Snoq. Pass on 90

3/13/19 Returned to the same spot. 6-9pm. Same two vehicles. Same psi. Trail leveled out at about 2,300ft. Top layer of snow was medium-icy and 8-12 inches of powder underneath. Quite possibly no new snow; passed our original progress with ease. New progress was also fairly easy. Tracks older than o...

Trip Report: West of Snoq. Pass on 90

2/23/19 Started at 1,300ft made it to about 2,300ft. 35s on 15s @ 5psi Snow looked wetter than it was. Cruised probably halfway through the elevation and then forward progress was made 20-30yds at a time by backing up and ramming at 5-15mph. Turned into more work than it was worth as we were just lo...
