Several of us in our group carry snowshoes. Most of the time you can hitch a ride out with your buddy but if you have to walk out, they can save you life. Kinda surprised that they dropped the old style MTR. I was also. I went out and bought another one when I heard they were quitting them. I have 37 MTR's (old style) that have the center lugs grooved. Kinda small by todays standards but I really like them. I just have to drive a little smarter than the bigger guys.
