Re: what do you bring with you
Most stuff has been covered but here are a few that I did not see mentioned. I try to always have a tarp, it's nice to lay on if you have to and it can keep your tools visible if they are out. I once forgot my chainsaw and ever since I don't go without an ax, if the saw dies I want a way out! Spare ...

Re: Snow Wheeling trip report - November 20
I must have been in high range or 4th low because I was going about 40 in the clip when I showed my speedo, it's where I am slowing a bit. I did cut it out of the video because if not everyone would be carsick!

Re: Puget Sound lowland snow
Carma,
Had to go get the wife from work, it's a 30 min round trip normally and it took me 2 hours and 10 min.
It's amazing how bad people drive.

Re: Puget Sound lowland snow
I may call tomorrow if I am close and sick of driving. I don't think I am really happy about going to Bellingham tomorrow.
And in all seriousness how does the Jetta do? Tanya's did fine but her Passat would not go anywhere.

Re: Puget Sound lowland snow
I hope it holds as well but I don't know if Sarah will be able to get out in her Jetta if there is too much! The roads in front of my house are wet, it's 31* and it's been snowing since 7am. I do hope that WWU is open tomorrow since I have to go there and take a test.... I think I will leave really ...

Re: Snow Wheeling trip report - November 20
It was a great day, now for the fun part of fixing a few minor problems and figuring out why the rear end of my bronco is shaking like crazy at any speed over 50. It was a slow ride home, I guess that is what I get for leaving it packed from the move for four months and unpacking it two days before ...

Re: bronco guys
I love the conversion, it's a power unit I built from scavenged parts and a cylinder from Egay so I am about $100 into it and I have quick disconnects on the unit so I can add a press when I ever get around to building one and all I will have to do is plug it in.

Re: bronco guys
The rear springs started as 79 F150 stock take outs from a friends truck. When I changed the bushings I took out the adjusters I originally had and installed some KbarS springs that I got in trade, they are 3.5" lift EB front springs and nothing special IMO from a company that has been out of b...

Re: bronco guys
I originally did it because it was cheaper than leaf springs. It's a three link with a upper wishbone instead of a pan hard , I don't remember how long the links are. The links are 1 1/2" 1/4" wall DOM tubing, some say it's undersized but it's worked great for me, I did have a link bend in...

Re: bronco guys
Ok I will try to answer a few of your questions first the Dana 60, yes both of ours are 5 bolt but you could change that easy if you wanted. I actually have one that is EB stock width that I am going to be selling and I did a quick breakdown of the cost and it's about $1885 if you can do all the set...

"it's only a little cliff" lol
I did buy some polypropylene base layer pants and a nice Helly Hansen waterproof coat so at least next time we go out in a 32* monsoon I will be warm and dry.

Re: Hangover Run 2010 Trip Report
I was owned by the ice, if I took my foot off of the brake it slid, it took all 4 tires to hold it and I was in 2wd! thanks Matt for locking in my hubs for me and posting a picture of it LOL. It was the wettest most miserable hangover run in recent years but it was still fun and my dog did well for ...
