Re: 12-5-09 christmas tree run

Great pictures. Looks like you found some nice trees. That could be an outstanding play area with about 4 feet of snow. Good thing you got your bronco back together. Now we just have to do the snow dance! Thanks for the trip report!

Re: Newb to the site

So does that mean you had to do all the fish mouths, or just cut the legs of the pillars?

Re: subaru with tracks

We saw a suburban with the mattracks on a wheelin trip a couple years ago. Didn't really get to see it in action, but they were using it for shuttling skiers up the mountain. Kind of a sore subject as they closed off area to public use :frown: I've seen plans for homemade tracks. Might be fun to try...

Re: Who has a GPS?

Thanks for the feedback. Looks like a pretty nice GPS. Do the maps include arial photos? Does it show a lot of logging road spurs? I think I'd be more in the market for something handheld that I can take on hikes and lock it up easily. I just starting looking. Didn't realize they were still so expen...

Who has a GPS?

Who has a GPS? Are there monthly/annual fees? What are the must have features? I'd be mostly into using it for offroad travel/elevation.

Mountain Springs Lodge

Anyone ever stay at Mountain Springs Lodge in Leavenworth, wa. Or someplace similar? They have guided snowmobile tours. Looks like it could be a nice getaway.

Re: Video editing software: Youtube made easy

The older videos are Hi-8 or quicktime vids from my olympus c3030 digital camera. Now I've got a Sony DVD810 camcorder. It's not high def or anything though. I know Adobe Premiere and Sony Vegas pro are a couple of the higher end video products. I was just impressed with Sony Vegas Movie Studio. It ...

Video editing software: Youtube made easy

I've tried several different methods of editing videos and uploading to youtube. The Sony Vegas software, by far, is the easiest with the highest video quality. I've been able to import mpeg and quicktime mov without converting. It optimizes the video and uploads to youtube on the fly. The program c...

Post webcams near you

Start a thread for your location and post up the webcams near you. When the snow starts falling it will be an easy way to get a quick overview.
