Re: Trip Report: Snow Wheeling 2021/2022 Season

Do you mean a fullsize or a Sport? Have not driven a fullsize yet, but have looked/sat in them. We really want an Eruption Green two-door, preferably with a white top and some sort of sport stripes. We test drove an Outer Banks Sport w/1.5L. Really liked it a lot, but ended up ordered a Badlands w/...

That's something you don't see every day. Should be pretty decent in the snow.

I havent been active on the interwebs in a while due to life and family but I saw your video posted and knew it was you. I used to watch all your old bronco videos. I found some snow this past weekend as well. First time going snow wheeling in a few years. Welcome back. Thanks for dropping in. Alwa...

Re: Trip Report: Snow Wheeling 2021/2022 Season

I'm a little NW of you and would like to try to get out for a snow run. I'm picking up an 85 Toyota tonight and after I get the windshield fixed/sealed, I'll be up for a run. Maybe get somewhere and snowshoe for a bit. Should be able to make it happen. Those Toyotas are pretty unstoppable when setu...

Yep, still have the EB. It's still the primary four wheeler, but man is it nice taking the 2021 Bronco on long hauls. It's a joy to drive.

Trip Report: Snow Wheeling 2021/2022 Season

If there is anyone left out there, got my first run of the season in. Something is very different this year! The weather wasn't great, so I didn't bother with taking photos.

Re: Trip Report: Snow Wheeling 2020/2021 season

Made a quick snow run on Saturday to check out conditions. Lots of wet snow at around 3000'. I couldn't quite get out of the rain, pushing quite a bit of snow. Hopefully this cold air coming in will firm things up a bit so we can get further up the mountain.

Re: Trip Report: Snow Wheeling 2020/2021 season

New Year's Day turned out pretty decent considering the crappy weather. Lots of snow around 4,000 feet. It was wet, extremely slick, but firm enough to drive around with out too much effort. The Suzuki sidekick lost both beads and a valve stem while down in side trail hole. What should have been a r...

Re: Trip Report: Snow Wheeling 2020/2021 season

Luckily, other than a bunch of banging around, I was able to just drive it home. The body was resting on the end of the spring and I still had plenty of tire clearance. I suppose in a worse situation one could cut/find a piece of wood and secure it between the axle and the frame. I'm really surprise...

I attempted a little shakedown run yesterday. Didn't last long. 50 year old factory booger welds gave out... I can't seem to catch a break.

Re: Trip Report: Snow Wheeling 2020/2021 season

I've gotten lazy on the maintenance over the past few years. Totally my fault. Lucky I had just replaced a very bad front axle u-joint prior to this trip. I even changed the oil! Just ran out of time and didn't make it back to check the rear driveshaft. I was so scared to look under the bronco... ex...
