Where's the snow at guys..?
I haven't been in the deep stuff for almost a month now and I'm wondering where the heck to go for it, does anyone know any place that's getting anything? I frequent green, tonga, iron goat, haven't been to Leavenworth in the snow yet but I would if I knew where to go there, cause I'll make a weeken...

On Board Air today !!
So I think I'm gonna go ahead and pull apart my AC compressor today, and do the conversion to OBA. One of my friends told me his dad used to be able to convert back and forth his compressor between AC and OBA on his Toyota, he would just have to recharge it with freon. Is this do able? At any rate I...

Iron Goat, 11-17-13.
4 feet of snow at only 4400' yesterday. Aired down to 7psi, with that locker and torquey gears I was breaking trail and going equally as far as my buddies one with 39.5" iroks fully locked, and the other with 38" TSL's fully locked. Felt pretty good considering us 3 were the only ones maki...

Re: Finally!! Locked and geared.
Ohh okay I see, I'm glad you are able to aid in my decision making process because those are things I would overlook. Bottom line and my only stipulation to on board air is I can't get rid of my factory AC, and I really don't have much space at all for another pulley driven one In the engine bay, ho...

Re: Finally!! Locked and geared.
Ahh, lame.. Thank you! I snowmobile at Baker but never wheeled up there, is there anywhere to go up there ? So how about a harbor freight oil less compressor and a tank near the spare tire mount underneath?

Re: Finally!! Locked and geared.
Im definitely liking it alot already, it feels strange to pull 35 mph hills in 3rd gear at a normal rpm range haha, not 2nd gear wrapped out. I am itching so bad to get up to Tonga again, I need to know if they've gotten anymore snow because i know the snow report didn't look all that promising but ...

Finally!! Locked and geared.
Well I got a screaming deal from a friend and bought 5.29's in 3rd members with a Detroit locker, put that in the rear and even though I have yet to take it in the snow I am thoroughly impressed with the road driving characteristics of it, since it's not a selectable locker but it is very road frien...

I didn't think so either, that's why I bit the bullet and just went yesterday to get a half decent run in before it could get worse.

Tonga Ridge, 11-8-13
Went up last weekend on Sunday with perfect powder, up to 2 feet In spots and 15 miles up from the road, and went up yesterday and for about the first 5-8 miles of snow was very heavy and wet, not my favorite but we made it through, then it started getting a little bit lighter and roughly a foot and...

I can appreciate another mountain rider that's for sure! I even like your blue KTM ;) haha I've got an '07 KTM 250xc two smoker, I put all 2010 KTM 300 forks and shock on it and got it valved and sprung at Evo, It handles amazing! Here's a pic, I'm missing riding up in cle elum this time of year but...

Re: 1987 4runner SAS
Sheeeeet... Well I don't really think I've got the space for pump #2 is my issue. I'm just not willing to give up my AC for that setup as appealing as it is. Maybe I'll just get a co2 comp tank.... :/ haha so the bashing continues! Oh well haha. I'm more worried about 5.29 gears before I worry about...

Re: 1987 4runner SAS
Okay good to know, but heres my catch 22. I have a perfectly good AC system, that i run FULL time, because its a condenser, therefore draws all moisture and everything out of the cab constantly and keeps it nice and fresh inside and i never have fogged windows, or very little anyway. SO is there a w...

Re: 1987 4runner SAS
Thanks you guys! Glad you dig my runner. It's a killer rig, and yes I LOVE the removable hardtop. It's so nice being able to haul 5 people when I want to and then fold the seats down and throw dirtbikes in the back with the rollbar and top off. But I really need to get on this gear and locker situat...

Re: 1987 4runner SAS
Yeah I can't wait I'm ready to get back up there again, it was a great time I was so proud of the runner! So far it was the best snow wheeling I've done so far, Open diffs weren't that bad but a front locker would be nice for the right situation.
