Finally got the saw mill up and running again and started milling timbers. We need to mill about 300 feet of 6x8 and a bunch of floor joists, then we can put up our allready milled walls.

You will really enjoy the 5.29s with a 22re. That gearing puts everthing just right. Can't go wrong with a detroit either. Now go wheeling and see how awesome it is to have more wheels turning!

The only thing I have seen cause problems over the years is chrome plated rims. I'm sure it depends on how tight the tire seats on the rim but chrome seems to be more slipery.

I prefer steel in general as well for beatability.

Got our first low country snow today, about 2-3" of wet-ish powder. The 7% tread goodyears are sucking on the road ice, I think I'll take the hot knife to them this week so I can run them a few more weeks.

I have a mechanical one that came with some oasis tire deflators back in like 1998. Seems to be consistant and it registers down to 1 or 2 psi. Not sure how accurate it is. I had a digital one all of us used to buy from sears years ago that was pretty good but those are long since gone.
