Tracked snow vehicle

I don't know what this thing is, but it sure could cover some ground. I thought I would be able to follow behind pretty easily, but it wasn't so easy.

Matt, that is a snowcat. They make them in all kinds of different shapes and sizes. Last year a friend (deputy) and I were both stuck in 4-5 feet of snow (on duty messing around) when one came by and pulled us both out without any trouble at all!! This is when I had a 3/4t Dodge truck! They are cool and I wish I could afford one.

whoa, a visitor.... Glad you checked the new site!

I wasn't sure if sno-cat was more of a generic name for tracked snow vehicles. I have to assume there have been several manufactuers over the years. I know this one had a pretty small engine. The guy was having some overheating issues.

Sounds like a rough day at work!

I finally figured out this is a Thiokol Sprite Snowcat. I stumbled across this for sale ad. Still not sure what year it is though. Looks exactly the same! I emailed the guy out of curiosity, but didn't get a reply.

To be honest I have spend some time on the Internet and still think it was not a good idea.
But let me give couple of links on Thiokols, this guy speaks english and lives in the U.S.
