Snow trip 2/2 in the south end

Post by Srgould41 »

Went snow wheeling up north of Seattle two weeks ago now want to go south. I want to put a trip together for 2/2 if possible.

Anybody been to Lonesome Lake (FS75 off Hwy 410 south of Greenwater) recently? Probably poor snow conditions right now, but it should snow again soon. How about Copper Creek or around Evans?

Trying to pick what I think will be the best place for the 2nd.

Here's a trip report for lonesome lake. Looks like a pretty cool place.

I think I'm going to try and go up here this weekend. Hopefully the snow has compacted a bit so we can actually cover some ground.

Snow level is up around 5,000 feet with rain below. Every where I thought to go is getting rained on. Snow conditions look poor for wheeling this weekend. Cancelling this trip.

Probably a wise choice. The long range forecast doesn't show another cold wave until feb 9th.

Feb 9th. Of course. The best conditions are always when I'm on-call and can't go.

Next club trip is Walker on the 23rd. I'll just have to wait
