Tonga Ridge, 11-8-13

Post by KS4runner »

Went up last weekend on Sunday with perfect powder, up to 2 feet In spots and 15 miles up from the road, and went up yesterday and for about the first 5-8 miles of snow was very heavy and wet, not my favorite but we made it through, then it started getting a little bit lighter and roughly a foot and a half deep, and we cruised 20 miles up, into the dark, and in the last stretch and the way back down it was starting to snow again so hopefully it dumps this weekend because it needs powder.. Here's a pic of my runner 35" kevlar MTR's fully aired haha, my friends Tj, fully locked and 36" bias ply TSL's aired down to about 6, and my buddy's first gen behind us on BFG T/a's around 22. I'm amazed at what my tires do in the snow not even aired down, it's actually pretty funny but I'm going to get on the OBA thing before long.

Extended forecast isn't looking too good.

I didn't think so either, that's why I bit the bullet and just went yesterday to get a half decent run in before it could get worse.
