FS4330 and Cathedral Rock 3/22/15

Post by christensent »

FS4330 opened to wheeled vehicles last week!

Road wasn't too hard but not rutted the last few miles so some fun Spring wheeling.

Walked up towards Mt. Daniel for a few hours and turned around at Cathedral Rock since avalanche danger starts there... epic amounts of snow and postholing. Snowed all afternoon. The most off-glacier snow I've seen all winter! Would have been much more fun if I'd brought snowshoes.

Don't buy your torque wrench at harbor freight.

The snow had turned to deep slushy bottomless depth hoar upon returning to the lot. Almost had to winch out of the basically flat parking lot fully locked aired down.
