Trip Report: Segelsen Ridge

Post by Nobody »

Hit the hills for Black Friday. Headed up Segelsen Ridge to see if we could find enough snow for a little sledding. Hit snow about 3,400' and had about 18-24 inches where the road topped out at 4,500'. Wasn't really much in the way of snow wheeling, but it was enough to get a Jeep stuck :finger: The snow has a slight crust on top and all sugar underneath what isn't frozen solid. There is a crazy temperature inversion right now, so it's really cold down low, and warm up high. Made for a nice afternoon and beautiful sunset. Need more snow!

Nifty, we did a Christmas tree run but not much wheeling to speak of.
