Snow pictures from our trip down south.

Post by ToddKaz »

The snow was wet, deep and a whole lot of fun.

Ready to make another run.

Here the snow was 7 feet deep and we were sinking in about 40 inches or so which made for very slow going.

The roads get pretty high around this area of the Sierra's

This is my brother trying to walk out and take a picture. Most times I had to use the truck and pack down an area for him to stand, he could've used some snow shoes.

This was a different day and a different area with a lot of fresh snow falling.

Attempt at an action shot

We had a great time and can't wait to go again, of course we won't need to if it would snow around here.

Awesome! I'm glad you found some snow. As you know, you didn't miss anything around here. How was it driving down in the suburban?

Get any video??

We drove back the long way and went over Mt. Hood and it was pretty sad to see how little snow fell in the the last week. Driving the Suburban down was great, I always said I would drive it on a long adventure since thats what I built it for, just never got around to it. Gas mileage was 7.5 which is great considering I drove it pretty hard and the tires warmed up fast which made for a decent ride. It really is a comfortable truck to ride in and sure gets a lot of attention, the only complaint is the computer is set to run premium and that's a little pricey in California. Total trip was 1470 miles and Tropper Smith here thought I was doing it a little too fast :wtf:

Well worth the price of a speeding ticket for a view like this.......... :P

Oh, and yes, I think we got some good video thanks to brother Jesse. We were so busy wheeling (and drinking afterwards :puke: ) that we haven't had a chance to watch any yet. If any are fit for public viewing they will be posted soon.

I had Sally set the camera for a ten second delay, when he got out of his car to bring me the ticket I put the camera up on the dash and hit the button. It was funny as hell and hard to keep a straight face while I got the "you need to watch you speed" talk. He never said a word about the size of the truck, all the while he almost had to stand on his tippy toes to see me, a classic funny moment.
