How to build a snow cave

Post by Nobody »

Here's a couple videos on how to build a snow cave. I'd like to try this sometime.

There is plenty of snow up by Baker and more on the way! http://forecast.weather.gov/MapClick.ph ... tType=text
It defiantly looks like fun, but I think I would want to camp out in it if I was going to go to all that work!

Once I have better gear, I'm totally up for it! Might be more comfortable than sleeping in the bronco.

I've built a couple snow caves before, years ago we built one at my friends house when we were kids, it was in the news paper. 30 feet long and 10 feet wide inside. 6 of us slept in it over a weekend.

Another time was while I was in boy scouts, we all made snow caves and slept in them for a week while camping. They really are quite warm and can be heated with just a candle to the point of sweating.
