I have for axles dana 60 rear and a 60 front.

So axle problems should be covered. But axles are a good point to address.

I now understand why bias ply *** arnt ideal for snow. Go figure i almost got a set. That would have sucked.

But im still all about 35 to 40 inch tires. I see yokohama has a 12.5/40/17 MT for about $345 a tire at my local store. Any thoughts about them?

Not sure if that was a type-o, you WANT radials for snow.

Have you looked at Pit Bull Rocker radials? They have a 37 for 16.5 but are pretty expensive.

A friend of mine ran the yokohama geolander when they first came out. They did pretty good, but he was only running 33's. I didn't realize they made the larger sizes. Too bad the wheel sizes are so limited. The website doesn't say how many plys the sidewalls are.

yes i looked at emm :) but i think i can afford them them next year :)

so i figured the yoko mt+ would be a affordable temp tire. 17 inch wheels are about 100 each. a 40-13.50r17 is $347 a tire.

my guy at discount tire can cut me a good deal. i have bought around 10k in tires from the same guy over the last 4 or five years .
