Caught a trailer for the new History Channel show "Alaska Off-Road Warriors". I immediately recognized Carl Jantz's red Superjeep. He's an old school Washington Wheeler, and great Snow Wheeler! He really knows his stuff, and should represent us well. Go Carl!

Premiers Sunday November 30th

To much drama, under built rigs, lack of seatbelts, pretty country and follows the same format as ice road truckers and axe men.
But I'll keep watching.

I wasn't too thrilled with the first episode, but it looks like things should pick up as they continue the trek. I think Superjeep is up to the task.

Watched the second one. It was OK. Just realized the older 4Runner is even still IFS!

I liked the second episode better. I think there still might be hope.

I agree, I was pumped to watch the show after seeing the previews and was hoping they would have gone into detail on the rigs.

To me its a bunch of sniveling whiners (rover) out of the mud bog jamborees of Florida. Pretty disappointed with the basically stock toyotas and landrovers on 35s.

Was hoping for super jeep to meet my minds image of how it looked, but it seems like more of an old jalopy than what I had imagined. -- not saying it doesn't work well in the snow though.

The ram rod driving style bugs me also... no finesse involved.

I suspect(hope) that as the filming goes on, the show crew will learn more about 4 wheeling, and hopefully that will reflect in the show footage. Also, it's still the start of the season, so they really don't have much footage to work with yet. I've had a lot of fun days four wheeling that likely would have been pretty boring to watch with any amount of editing.

Carl and the super jeep are the type of old school wheeler that used to be common on the trails around here. I have A LOT of respect for that type of wheeler these days. I don't think anyone can argue that the super jeep isn't a jalopy. Then again, I'm not one to talk :homer: :redneck:

Yea, maybe I'm being quick to criticize....

Out of all of the vehicles super jeep is my fave though.

We'll see how it progresses as the show goes on i guess.
