I'll upload a photo tonight.. there is no snow. :puke: drove up yesterday in hopes of some snow wheeling and taking Julia sledding.. there was a few spots of an inch here or there... this winter is pathetic. Even up high on the mountain it looked patchy

Mount Pilchuck is my old stomping grounds from my youth. It used to be open year round. I thought it was being closed seasonally on a set date, not based on conditions.

Regardless, there's no reason for closing it. We've gotten this mindset in our country, that if we don't pay the government to actively manage something, then it must be closed. Of course actively managing just means permits, fees, taxes and tickets  :mad2: :frown:

"Actively managed" means closing the gate and leaving it closed...

No snow over here either to speak of... couple feet at 4500' close by... over 10' deep where we go sledding but you won't get a Bronco in there... :D

Getting a bit depressing... low clouds, no sun, and no snow doesn't make for a good winter playground!!!

Good to see you're still around Brian! My kids have all but written me off for not taking them in the mountains to play in the snow. Is a nice 2+ foot dump too much to ask?

Since you got me all fired up again(easy huh?) We stopped by the Kyak Point county park the other day. NONE of the passes I had were valid for that park. You had to pay the $7 daily use fee. I'd rather pay the $20 fine :mad2:
