Trip Report: Snow Wheeling trip report - November 20

Post by Nobody »

First real snow wheeing trip of the season. So far we're off to a great start. Conditions today were perfect! Little to no wind. Several feet fresh snow. I finally got to try out my showshoes that I got for christmas last year. After the lack of snow last winter, today was the perfect day to kick off the snow wheeling season.

You can find all the pictures of the day here

I've got some video I'll have to put together, maybe tomorrow sometime.

Sun dropping behind the mountain. Starting cooling off quick!

End of the road for the day. Strange snow drifts were forming on the backside of the mountain.

It was a great day, now for the fun part of fixing a few minor problems and figuring out why the rear end of my bronco is shaking like crazy at any speed over 50. It was a slow ride home, I guess that is what I get for leaving it packed from the move for four months and unpacking it two days before we go wheeling!

I know I know...pathetic lol. I own a pressure washing company, I was cleaning an excavator on Sunday morning and more out in the cold time wasn't working for me :redneck:

My buddy is putting 46" Baja Claws on his buggy so I should have some cool pics to post up this winter! :D

Looks like it would have been a sweet video if you had a real camera! Were you in high range? I don't hear the gear wine like I have. Mine seems a bit excessive when in low range.

I must have been in high range or 4th low because I was going about 40 in the clip when I showed my speedo, it's where I am slowing a bit. I did cut it out of the video because if not everyone would be carsick!
